L6470 full-step mode and absolute position

Hi,

Does the L6470 maintain the validity of the ABS_POS value during automatic full-step operation? I want to position my motor with 1/16 microsteps but still be able to run 1500 rpm.

Sure. Even if the system switches to the full-step mode, the ABS_POS register indicates the position with the programmed microstepping resolution.
