Hi,

The newly delivered STM32F4Dicsovery has debugger Firmware V2.25M14 on it. The same is on ST-Link utility V2 3.38. Both have following problem: When the board is powered up without USB on debug connection then the programm will not start. The system do so as it would be in reset state. After connecting USB to debug port, the system will work fine. Connecting the debug port of the board to PC is mandatory for running the programmed firmware. Downgrading the debugger firmware to V2.21.M5 will solve the problem and the board is working as expected. best regards, Osto

The behaviour has been enhanced in version V2J26M15; upgrading to V2J27M15 (available at

http://www.st.com/web/en/catalog/tools/PF260217

) should allow the application to start without USB.
