Hi,

I use LPS25H in my project. Based on the application note AN4450 page 13,

(example 1) when I configure the LPS25H to the mode that ODR is 25 Hz,  pressure average 512, temperature average 64 (register 0x20 is 0xC0, register 0x10 is 0x0F), the current is 690uA. This value is similar to the result in the application note.

However,

(example 2)In the application note, the current is 26.4uA when ODR is 1 Hz, pressure average 512, temperature average 64. However, on my board, when I configure the LPS25H into the same mode (register 0x20 is 0x90, register 0x10 is 0x0F), the current is about 390uA. Why?

Hi,

the configuration of registers 0x10 and 0x20 is correct.

Regarding the power consumption estimation, did you follow all raccomandations indicated in section 3.1 of application note AN4450?

1. Do not leave any input pin un-terminated (floating). T

2. Do not connect a push-pull output pin directly to GND or VDD_IO (unless it can be

ensured that no change on that pin status will be made by SW)

3. Select the proper I2C pull-up resistor (to VDD_IO) according to the bus load and

working frequency.

Furthermore, in order to prevent possible leakage in the operational condition, it is necessary to ensure VDD_IO <= VDD.

The operating voltage for both VDD_IO and VDD is 1.7 V to 3.6 V

Regards

Antonella
