Hi,

I would like to know what is the delay when switching channels.

I am currently doing tests using the 868MHz configuration.

Hello,

can you state better your question? ETSI EN 300 200 does not prescribe a delay when switching channels.

Hi Gaetano,

Basically we are trying to establish how long it would take to switch from one frequency to another (through the register configuration). Moreover, we would like to know if there is any ''delay'' required in this procedure in order to switch the carrier frequency.

Hi,

consider that it takes 54us from Ready to Tx (or Rx), without calibration, thus basically this is the time requested to pass from a frequency to another. This is true if the frequency you are passing to is near (e.g. 100kHz) the previous, and thus no further calibration is required. Instead, if the two frequencies are more far apart, calibration is needed and you have to add the related time, that is another 50us.

Gaetano
