I have recently had an issue with a PSD854F2 not controlling pin PA0 as a GPIO correctly. During troubleshooting we used PSDSoft Express to pull the image from the device. After programming a fresh image onto the chip, PA0 started operating correctly.
A binary comparison of the pulled image and the newly flashed image is the same, which brings me to my question.
Is the configuration of the PLD on this device stored into flash? Or is the configuration done during the JTAG programming? It would make sense if it is the latter, as reprogramming the chip fixed the GPIO. Otherwise I have stranger issues in play.
