We want to run the stepper with as little current as possible. But then there's the risk to loos step if hoigher torque is neede (becuase of dust, friction,...). Is it possible to detect higher torque and increase phase current before the stepper looses a step with L6470? And of course reduce the current if there is much to much torque of the stepper than needed.

Or would another motor driver be a better choice?

Thanks, Rene
