Adding support for STM32F031C6T6 to IAR Workbench 6.50.1.4452

Hello,

I want to use IAR Workbench  6.50.1.4452 for programming the device STM32F031C6T6. However, in the selection of devices, this series is not listed. May be because of that, the flashing has failed. (I am using the STM32F0 Discovery board for flashing.) Is it possible to add this device to IAR workbench? Or do I have to upgrade the software? What could be a workaround for this issue?

Thanks.

Actually, an IAR forum would be a better place to ask this question.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have done that too. Waiting to see if there is any response.

The audience here is mostly users of STM32 chips, rarely ST employees. Hardly anyone who can tell you about IAR internals.

But generally, I would expect toolchain vendors (like IAR and Keil) to support new devices with the next release, assuming sufficient time for implementation.

Hi sandy.m,

You can use the attached patch as a workarround.

Please install it under :

C:\Program Files\IAR Systems\Embedded Workbench 6.5\.

the connection name isn't the correct one. But, you will be able to load and execute your application.

To have the correct device name , an upgrade shoul be done.

Best Regards,

Nouha
