Hi,

Just wanted to clarify some doubts,

I recently bought one STM32F4 Discovery board. According to the documents it's said that it has  ''On-board ST-LINK/V2 with selection mode switch to use the kit as a standalone ST-LINK/V2 (with SWD connector for programming and debugging)''.

So I checked schematics and looks like the JTAG / SWD signals are connected to  STM32F4.

So Is it possible to program the STM32F4 is the discovery via JTAG?

Regards

HpC

The on-board STLINK/V2 is normally connected to the STM32F4 and allow to debug.

There is one pair of jumper (CN4) that can disconnect STLINK from STM32F4. Then, using CN2 pins, you can use STLINK standalone to debug another STM32 on another PCB.

Pretty sure it only connects a subset of JTAG pins. On some DISCO boards the connection of SWO (PB3) requires a solder bridge.

STM32 parts in other circumstances do support JTAG connectivity, and boundary scan.
