What the correct power-up/power-down voltage sequence? In datasheets on STHV748 and demo boards  with STHV748, voltage sequence is different.

Dear Serghei,

Basically the Power-UP sequence in DSrather thanAN has to be same ... below you can refer to a pratical instructions on how to proceed applying the power supplies on the demo kit:

Power-UP is correctly imposed:

- 3-Level 1-->

2--> 3--> 4-->

5 (see attachement STEVAL-IME003V1_Powerup_3level.png)

- 5-Level 1-->

2--> 3--> 4--> 5--> 6-->

7 (see attachement STEVAL-IME003V1_Powerup_5level.png)

Than for Power-DOWN MUST BE RESPECTED the reverse procedures as followed:

- 3-Level

5--> 4--> 3--> 2--> 1

(see attachement STEVAL-IME003V1_Powerup_3level.png)

- 5-Level

7--> 6--> 5--> 4--> 3--> 2--> 1 (see attachementSTEVAL-IME003V1_Powerup_5level.png)

Best Regards

Antonio

Hi !

I have few questions about STHV748.

1. High current consumtion (> 200ma) on VDDP and VDDM if I applying power supplies how described in STEVAL-IME003V1_Powerup_5level.png (Each step of power sequence  = 10ms). If I applying VDDP,DVDD and VDDM in same time - STHV748 works fine.

2. Two ICs was damaged after next signal

 -85V (200ns)/+85V(200ns)/clamp

 (+85V (200ns)/-85V(200ns)/clamp IC works fine !!!)

 another IC seems (i'm not sure) was damaged after

 -85V (160ns)/clamp (40ns)/+85V(160ns) or +85V (160ns)/clamp (40ns)/-85V(160ns)

PS: DVVD=VDDP=3V, VDDM=-3V, HVP0=+85V,HVM0=-85V,HVP1=+50V,HVM1=-50V. Load - piezo transducer. Cable lenght =1.5m.
