Shared CAN/USB SRAM on STM32F042C6

I am hoping to use a STM32F042C6 to communicate over both USB and CAN simultaneously. I am aware that older devices had issues with this due to a shared 512 SRAM buffer.

I am wondering if this is still true on the STM32F042C6. The reference manual makes no mention of it, but does show a ''USB/CAN SRAM'' block in the memory map.

I am having problems with the packet memory area becoming corrupt for transmitted data longer than 8 bytes, however this persists when CAN is disabled and could be an unrelated issue.

Thanks,

Eric
