Programming issue with ST32L052K8U

Posted on October 06, 2015 at 00:19

Hi,

We are trying to program an ST32L052K8U from an FTDI cable, but we seem not being able to succeed, this method worked on different chips before, and it also works on the STM32L053C8T6 (the eval board).

The VDD is a stable 2.5Volt line, and the FTDI cable is operating between 0 --> 3.3v, Boot0 is High during boot, and we also tried high, then reset.

NRST is high constantly, and also on the stable 2.5V from internally.

When sending the 0x7F to the controller to start programming, we have a .4 ripple in the RX line. and never get a reply from the micro controller.

Have you any recommendations what we can try? The RX and TX lines are directly connected to the TX and RX line of the FTDI chip.

Thanks,

Jeff

Well the image didn't work.

I guess you'd want to look at the time between when it boots and when it responds. If you need to send a second 0x7F (9600 8E1). You'd also want to make sure other pins used by the System Loader, for other supported peripheral connections, are kept stable.
