STM32F407 knowing the bootloader version

Hi !

I have a question regarding the bootloader versions on my STM32F407xx boards :

Is it possible to determin the version of the bootloader a chip contains either from the text printed on the chip or via SWD wires ?

My system can only use the SPI pins for programming so I need to have the v9 bootloader, I presume that the bootloader is in ROM, so it is not upgradeable if I have a chip with the v3 bootloader ?

BR,

You can read the memory on the STM32 using the ST-LINK Utilities, and save it too a file. This includes the ROM, seem to recall there's a specific address to look at, or that it could be gleaned from the binary if not.
