STM32CubeMX Mac Problem During Download

I've tried installing STM32CubeMX on two different Macs. In both cases when I try to download firmware kits, I get an error ''These Files have a problem during Download''. I've also tried downloading the zip files and installing ''from local'' which also fails.

I know it's not an access problem since I tried installing STM32CubeMX on a virtual session of Windows XP on one of the computers and downloading the firmware kit and it worked without any problems.

Is there something I'm missing?

Peace

Dear user,

Can you please send us the STM32CubeMX.log file you find under your user directory in the .stm32cubemx folder.

Thanks

I'm not sure the attachment was included correctly so I'm trying again.

I've tried to upload the file twice in Safari but when I try to view it, I get a 404 error. I'm now trying with Firefox.

Hello

Lemberg.Roger

,

I tried to reproduce your issue and it was easy to reproduce it.

I deleted the firmware F7 and tried to download it (automatically) in help/Install New Librairies.

2 times the download failed with the following error (There files have problem during download ... (MD5 file checksum is not good).

I can't see STM32Cube_FW_F7_v1.5.1in the STM32Cube/repository so for me, it is a problem of download and not on MD5sum (as MD5sum is the same for Windows, mac and linux and I don't have any issue when downloading on Windows). Moreover, if the file is not correctly downloaded, for sure, MD5sum will be wrong.

I tried a 3rd time to download automatically F7_V1.5.1 and it works. So for me, it is linked to a network issue.

How many times did you try to download the fw?

Could you please try again and ensure that the network is ok?

Since I had no problem getting the files through a virtual machine, I really don't think the network was the problem.

I did actually find a solution: I poked around in the app's package and I found an uninstaller executable. After running it and reinstalling from scratch it now works on both Sierra and El Capitan.

Thanks for your information phroggie.

For my information, on which cubeMX release are you? (4.16.1, isn't it?)
