Prinft and STM32F103z and STM32Cube?

I start with STM32F and create my first ''Hello Word'' application a have problem with printf.

My dev.board is

IDE Keil MDK-ARM 5.17 In the STM32Cube I create application for STM32F103Z, I set 1. RCC HSE (8MHz) 2. SYS Trace-Asynchronous_SW 3. USART1 Asynchronous 115200Bits/s 4. PF6 and PF7 set as Output (LED) Cube generate project wit this code

Where is the problem

?

In general,

how

to

determine

which device

(

USART1,2,3

)

will

direct the output of

printf

function?

Must implement

their own

version of the function fputc()

add this function

int fputc(int ch, FILE *f)

{

  HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart1, (uint8_t *)&ch, 1, 0xFFFF);

  return ch;

Hi, I'm a novice to this STM32Fxx. I have a STM32F401RE board.

I downloaded STM32Cube_FW_F4_V1.9.0 and opened a project(example using UART) coming with the package with uVision5.

I see COM16 connected, I ran it but I don't see any print on the serial port.

What can be wrong? (the manual says it should work.)

What board exactly? The Nucleo?

That would need USART2, PA2/PA3, and the aforementioned code equivalent to provide the fputc() functionality out of USART2
