The default configuration has 1 NDEF file that occupies the entire memory. Is it possible to slice up the memory between 2 or more NDEF files?  If more than one file can be created, what is the maximum number of files that on tag can accommodate? Is that 15 (inferred from SELECT command)?

Dear Don,

YOur understanding is correct. With ST25TA64K product you have to use NDEF file structure, memory cannot be adressed directly.

Dear Sibi,

ST25TA64K supports only 1 NDEF file.

Could I ask you for which application you need more than 1 NDEF file ?

Could several NDEF records be used within the NDEF file in your case ?

Is it possible to use the ST25TA64K as just memory, i.e. not used NDEF at all ?

We need to store a small amount of binary data, but don't need NDEF.  However, I don't see anything in thge ST25XXX data sheets that indicate this is possible, and that use of NDEF is mandatory for this series of RFID tags.  Is this correct ?
