is it possible with the stvd to attach / connect only to a already running target via swim?

I'm not using STVD, but in general, STVD is more complete than the free tools. With the free stm8flash, I can attach to a running target to write a new program into the flash memory via ST-Link or ST-Link/v2 anytime. So I guess it will work fine with STVD.
