[STM32L4 Discovery Kit] [DFU] Not able to enter the DFU Bootloader Mode

Hi,

I am using STM32L4 Discovery Kit and wanted to check the DFU Programming.

For that, I programmed the GPIO_IOToggle Code and then shorted the BOOT0 pin with 3V.

Then pressed Reset button.

But nothing happens.

Can somebody please tell if anything from the Software side needs to be configured ?

Thanks,

Sunny

Are you using the right USB connector? ie The micro USB at the bottom not the ST-LINK one at the top.

Tips, Buy me a coffee, or three.. PayPal Venmo

Hi clive1,

I am using both the USB Connectors i.e. USB User (Micro-USB) to get detected as ST-Link Device in DFU Mode and the other i.e. USB ST-Link which will give supply to the STM32L4 Discovery Kit.

The USB ST-Link Debugger is getting enumerated in the Windows Device Manager, but the micro USB port for DFU Mode is not getting enumerated.

Please advice.

Thanks,

Sunny

Hi Sunny,

What you are doing works for me, I can enter dfu mode on the L4disco.

Maybe you micro cable is broken....

Hi Edje,

Thanks for the pointer.

I already checked with 3 different cables which are working with cellphones, but not working with the L4 Discovery Kit.

Thanks,

Sunny
