Hi,

In STM32F105xx datasheet, in part numbering section, it has an option named ''Software option'', and it has two options: internal code or black.

What does it mean?

You mean for example in mass production they give the compiled code to factory to program the microcontrollers?

Yes, if I were making a million dishwashers, and I just wanted to build boards and plug them in and go without having go through a 30-90 second programming process on each one or expose debug/programming headers.

ST has also had STM32 parts supporting JAVA, these come preprogrammed, not sure if that uses FLASH or ROM
