LPS25HB pressure measurement in liquid environment

Hi,

For a solution we want to use the LPS25HB in a liquid environment.

In our opinion, the best way to do this is by installing the sensor in an oil filled case with a thin metal membrane on the top. On this way the pressure is passed on to the sensor in a linear way and without much loss.

Does anyone know if this would be possible? Or is the sensor only suitable in dry conditions?

In the application note, AN4672 (attached), is shown how to protect the sensor with membranes. For example:

But I'm wondering if this implementation is realistic. Is it possible to pass over the pressure to the sensor with good accuracy if the membrane is so tiny? Besides that, the sensor is in an air environment which doesn't transfer pressure as good as oil.

I would be very grateful if someone could answer my questions.

Thanks in advance.
