0690X0000060MnXQAU.gifI recently got STM32L053K8U6 from Arrow Electronics. I am very surprised as I couldn't find the datasheets/technical documentation of STM32L053K8U6 . I believe STM32L0 series MCUs have 10 years longvity commitment. Even if it is discontinued the datasheets must be make available in archives. Arrow Electronics website did not mention anything about its status like EoL.

Can anyone help me getting the datasheets of STM32L053K8U6 ?

Thank you very much,

-Krish

Which package are they?

What exactly is the marking on the chips?

Hi ByteMaster,

Thanks for your reply, but these are just MCUs not a Discovery Kit, it was mentioned wrongly on Arrow website. I already got them in a moisture proof sealed pack. I did not open it yet as they are sensitive to environmental moisture. It's really a  mystery

!

Thanks,

-Krish

Hi Krish,

Any Label/Barcode on packaging?

also what is the writing on chip?

Try googling those info, you might find the actual part number.

Alternatively upload a pic of the chip...

Regards

Are we sure this isn't just a typo? C8T6 would make far more sense

The MSL won't matter if you are hand soldering. If you are wave soldering, you'd presumably have a nitrogen box to put them in, or could bake them.

It says STM32L053C8T6 in the description. Ask Arrow for the data sheet?

Hi Jan,

I found this document on st.com I don't understand why this STM32L053K8U6 MCU (UFQFPN 5x5x0.55 32L 0.5MM PITCH) is missing from their ST32L0 linecard?

Hi Krish,

I have been told that these are engineering samples of a model, which was planned but never entered production.

So, while these are real parts, you won't be able to get more of them, nor an official datasheet. The best thing to do is to return them to the distributor.
