Dear sir,

I want to know if the newest development tools ''ST72MDT20-DVP3'' has

ISP function. I mean if SM72MDT20-DVP3 has socket(DIP,TQFP) for programing?

in addition, I want to know if I can use ST7MDT2-DVP2 ICP function to program ST72321 or ST72324?

thanks your help

Hi,

ST7MDT20-DVP3 has a ICP connector but no socket on board. It allows to program any Flash devices (not the CFlash, only the XFlash and HDFlash).

ST7MDT2-DVP2 has a ISP connector and sockets (TQFP64 and SDIP56/42). It allows to program all CFlash product (through ISP connector) and only ST72C334 and subsets with the sockets.

Take care that ISP and ICP are different and concern different types of Flash! You can refer to the Flash Programming manual and ICC reference manual on Internet (mcu.st.com) for more information.
