Does anyone know how to run tinybios on STPC Atlas

After burning the bios STPC works without video

(I know that since application that uses the speaker works)

Also the serial debug function does not work

Mr. Pascal Dornier the bios writter says that the bios works on the older version of Atlas evalution board

Is there any difference bewteen the newer board and the old ones ?

I don't know the tinybios architecture. With a standard BIOS the graphics card is initialized by a VGA BIOS. If this VGA BIOS is missing, the graphics card is not recognize and the system boot without video. It really looks like your problem!

In case you need, the VGA BIOS for STPC is provided by Elpin Systems and available here:

http://www.stmcu.com/devicedocs-Atlas-75.html

, called STPC ATLAS Graphics BIOS in the Software section.

VGA BIOS is a binary to be loaded in your flash. It is usually stored at ROM address c0000. After this, the STPC internal graphics is seen by BIOS as any standard ISA, PCI or AGP graphics card.

Maybe you could contact Pascal Dornier for more information about VGA BIOS. It could be different with tinybios.

burn the VGA BIOS to address 0 of a 256k flash and the BIOS itself under the top.

If you have a 512k flash then burn VGA BIOS to address 4 0000h.
