How to implement KWP2000 diagnostic protocol on a K-line Physical medium with ST7 or ST9 microcontroller ?

Is it possible to perform both a 5-baud Initialisation (address code recovery) or a fast initialisation without

inducing any error on a typical SCI peripheral ?

Is there any reference application available ? (Work around using an additionnal I/O for address code detection ?

KWP2000 stands for KeyWord Protocol 2000 : It' s based on the international standard ISO14230-4.

The ''K'' line is basically a sci port with a non-standard baud rate.

For instance, Dodge uses 7182 baud for ISO diagnostics.

I know it has already been implemented on several ST92F150 applications but there isn't any reference design available.

Good luck for your design

Hy,

The KW2000 protocol is related at Automotive sector.

K line is a half duplex serial line that use a SCI hw cell.

The application and diagnostic services are strongly defined by specification dedicated to the application.

Then if you don't have these specification will be very hard implement sw.
