We have DOS based test/configuration stations in production, and want to use FlashLINK interfaces (6 wire JTAG) to configure uPSD3200 based products.

Does anyone know of any DOS software we can use ?

ST offers a standalone FLINK software which can be run as a DOS batch execution from Windows 2000/NT/98/ME/95 to program ST's Flash PSD or DSM products via the JTAG pins using the FlashLINK Programmer. This software can be downloaded from our website at:

http://www.st.com/stonline/prodpres/memory/psd/html/soft_c2.htm

There should be a Readme file that shows you how to use it.

Sorry ..we need a DOS (16bit) application.

Do you know how I can obtain documentation describing the protocol between FLINK and the FlashLink interface, so that we can write our own software ?

Hi,

The spec you need does obviously exist, but it is VERY complicated. The programming of the FLASH via JTAG is easy the problems come with the JTAG programming of the CPLD which is very complicated. Is there no way you could use a windows based programming tool?
