ST7 micro ISP re-programming

I've the ST7MDT2 DVP2 development kit and I've troubles in re-programming micro types ST72C314J4 using ISP connection.

Software I'm using for programming is Windows Epromer v.3.3.0.0. My

application uses an RC oscillator and pins RESET, ISPSEL, ISPCLK,

ISPDATA are all left free, so I'm sure there isn't an hardware

conflict. I've had notice that I've to add 10K pullups on ISPCLK and

ISPDATA, that I did, but without success.

I've not installed software patch suggested by ST because in the

software zip package I can't find one of the files listed in the

upgrade instructions.

Can you give some info or help?

with best regards.

You do not need to add software pullups to ISPCLK,ISPDATA as they will be implemented by the programming tool - DVP in your case.

Make sure you have 10K pulldown on ISPSEL (as per datasheet).

You need to update the dvp with the ST patch, this will improve the reliability.

But I do have to say that the DVP is not very reliable for ISP programming.

What file is missing from the DVP patch?

I didn't encounter any problems the last time I updated a DVP.

I've used a pulldown on ISPSEL line.

software update was downloaded from ST website: page 4 of app.note AN 1363/0401 says to open files DRV_DVP.s19 and DRV_OPT.s19, but these files aren't in the downloaded patch.

These files are usually extracted to the temp directory, have a look there.
