Are there memory locations in the ST9 micros containing identification information? It would be handy to have the ability for software to find out the part number, date code, production/prototype status, temperature rating...

The ST10 family has locations containing some information and I thought there might be something similar in the ST9.

Have a look at AN1528, this app note describes the testflash for ST92F120/F124/150/F250 devices. Device information can be obtained from this.

Hope this helps

Thank you very much....

Can I determine the micro's die revision or date code? Does the TestFlash revision or checksum change due to die changes?

It would be helpfull in product assembly to verify that the correct part and revision is being placed. A non-optical method would be best.
