ST10F269: internal RAM preservation with +5Vdc?

The datasheet, chapter 19 - power reduction modes, says to keep Vdd=+5Vdc during power down to preserve the internal RAM! I have never seen an 5V battery (typicall is 3V6). Suggestions how to get 5Vdc? Should I get it from 3V6 battery (by rising up to +5Vdc) with an additional chip or how?

The ST10F269 has not been done to use a battery to preserve the RAM contents. By power saving mode, ST means reduced current consumption and not voltage.

In order to achieve the function you are talking about I recommend to use an external battery maintained RAM device like ST ZEROPOWER NVRAM that are available with the snap-on battery.
