IAP on EMU3

Hello,

I have a question about the Emulator ST7-EMU-3.

Does this tool support the In Application Programming? Can I apply the +12Volt on the Vpp pin of EMU-3?

Actually my EMU3 probe is configured in order to emulates the target device ST72324K6.

Could someone please give me some information? Thanks!

IAP is not possible through EMU3 as it does not have the true flash.

This is the only complaint I have about the otherwise excellent EMU3.

It would be very useful if the EMU3 were upgraded to emulate FLASH so that IAP code could be tested. I found this very limiting while developing a bootloader.

You can emulate IAP using the inDART kit since it uses the real chip for emulation.

The strength of the EMU3 is in the fact that it does not use real silicon. Hence, the support of a new device of the same family does NOT require any hardware update, but only a ''software'' update. I'd say it is a good trade-off.
