Hi,

Can someone please tell if resizing sector 0 to 0.5K will increase sector 1 size?

If not what is the purpose of resize able sector 0?

The idea behind resizing sector0 is only for In Application Programming (IAP) reasons.

You are able to choose a sector size as close to the size of your iap firmware, and so trying not to waste valuable memory space.

Changing the size of sector0 will effect the size of sector1, but it will not change the total available flash memory.

For most IAP applications 0.5-1K sector0 will be enough.

Thanks very much.

Do you know what will happen if I in IAP accidentally write to sector0? will it damage the micro?

You cannot write to sector0 with IAP - it is read-only.

Sector0 is only accessable via ICC mode entry.
