Each devices can be put on each bank. The size for (each bank) is limited at 16MB. The chip select signals will be different for each devices and they will share the same data bus, address bus and read/write signals.
For example, the eval board uses TOSHIBA TC55V8200FT SRAM and ST M28W320CB flash. And they works well.
Be carefull at the timing if you will use others devices. I mean timing specification of the STR71x EMI must correspond to the timing devices.
