FlashBash Bootstrapping

I'm getting started with the ST7 and started looking for an ICP programmer. I found the FlashBash and it seemed like a very good, affordable programmer so I built one. Unfortunately, I found out that my Data I/O programmer does not support the ST7 so I don't have any way to get the ST72F624 programmed. Am I stuck having to buy an ST7 Stick or is there a cheaper alternative? Is there a keyfob loaner program for the FlashBash?

Thanks!

I'm afraid its a bit of the chicken and egg situation.

Flashbash supports firmware upgrade but the bootloader will need programming the first time.

Does your programmer support the 254 as Flashbash supports this device aswell - but no firmware upgrade support.

The schematics for the stick are available on this site, so could be built for low cost.
