Changing the PWM-Frequency at runtime

Hi,

I'm use the St7FMC2N6B6 controller in an inverter. Is it possible to change the PWM-frequency while the motor is running? Have the outputs to be seperated? Or can I change the PWM counter prescaler without stopping the outputs?

Are the corresponding bits in the ARTCSR Register (Bit CC[2..0])?

Best regards,

Micha

Hi,

it is possible to change the PWM frequency runtime as you are saying. If you open the ST7MC datasheet at page 196 ''PWM Generator Block'' paragraph, you will find how the system works.

Thank you very much for your fast help!

That means, a adaptive PWM-frequency is possible, to reduce powerlosses in the powermodule. Not bad!

Best regards,

Micha
