HSI at 6MHz

Hello

While I was testing a few things with my Olimex STM32-103STK (STM32F103)I measured the HSI clock via the MCO Pin of the Controller. In the datasheet the accuracy the internal 8 MHz factory-trimmed RC oszillator is +-3%. But I measure a frequency of 5.5MHz. I can trim it up to 6.3 Mhz with the HSITRIM value.

Is this a problem of the (maybe not factory calibrated) µC or is there an other problem? The HSICAL value is 0xb0

Hallo

Sorry for the very late reply. But I was in an other projekt

The problem accours only on this Controller. Is this only a problem of those earle engineering samples and can we rely on the accurancy of the datasheet if we order parts from now on?

I don't know what you mean with trace code. On the package is

STM32F103RBT6 2209P VC MLT 3R 735

Is this Information enough to verify it as a engineering sample?

Hi dschneeweis,

I believe that the device used on this board from Olimex was an early engineering sample, not yet tested at ST production lines and well trimmed to 8MHz as stated in our datasheets. Is it possible to send me the trace code of the chip and revision printed on the package. Thx.

Cheers,

STOne-32.
