Hello,

We are using ST7MDT10-EMU3 kit for programming ST7FLITE29 Microcontroller. We are using ST7 Visual Develop IDE with Cosmic C compiler.

We get following error:

--------------------------------------------------------------

Device: ST7FLITE29

Board: ST7-EMU3

Port: USB

Programming Mode: ICP OPT Disable

Tasks:

Unlock Device

Blank Check (if feasible)

Program

Verify

Unlocking Device...

Error : Cannot communicate with the device ! Option Bytes are Disabled on the device

Check the ICC cable connection and check all the needed pin connections on the ICP connector

Clock is 'External source' in this ICP mode

On Application, connect OSC pin from ICP connector or an Oscillator or a logic clock

Error : Programming failed on Option Byte

done

Initialization...

> PROGRAM MEMORY << ''D:\BottleCooler\Debug\timer.s19''

done

Programming...

PROGRAM MEMORY:

> Blank Check not feasible

Also, if we make option byte enable then also we get the same error.

Please guide me. Am I doing it correctly? or Is there any setting that I have forgotten? What are the possible causes of the error?

Thanks

Mohit

Mj, did you try to replace the ST7FLITE29 with another one?

The same error happened to me (but I use InDART).

The culprit was the chip itself: PB4 port pin was broken...

Check also the clock levels with the scope: they must be TTL compatible.

Bye
