You can try ST92F150,ST92F124 or ST92F250 for this purpose.

For more information pls check the following link

Looking for chip to interface to by simple MCU so I can send data (I2C, SPI, RS232, or other). I then want to connect this chip to the NTSC TV to display text on screen (OSD.) Is there stand alone or single chip I can use for this kind of OSD with simple interface to an MCU?

Do you have any suggetion on performing this function by any other ways? I know there are software ways but are software intensive. I would rather let my PIC chip send serial data (map addresses of characters, location info, effects if available, and font control if possible) to the OSD and have the OSD send NTSC composite vedio signal to the TV (RCA connector) for text display.

Many thanks...
