Hello,

from ARM's website about 966E-S core (used on STR9xx):

''Floating point capability with VFP9-S coprocessor''

Yet, when I quick-read the UM0216, I found no reference to VFP. Would you comment on this, please?

Thank you.

Hi hARMless,

The STR91x do not include the VFP9-S coprocessor, but the ARM966E-S core supports DSP instructions like 1-cycle 32x16 MAC .., please refer to ARM966E-S manual for more details.

Best regards,

STARM

Is it said that STR9 doesn't include a completed ARM966E core?

Thanks.

Hi Jianhua,

The STR9 mcu includes a complete ARM966E-S core, in fact the floating point coprocessor is not part of the ARM966E core (please refer to ARM966 manual)
