ST10F276 P5.11 problem

I have a problem with P5.11 and P5.10 digital inputs (not adc). Signals applied to the pin P5.11 are read on register P5.10. P5.11 register seems to be high always.

The same code works ok on a ST10F273.

Anybody got any ideas ?

Hello CoeBod,

The ST10F276 and ST10F273 are identical. The main differences between these devices are:

• On-chip Flash size

• On-Chip extension RAM block XRAM2 size

Consequently, having a different behavior is very strange.

Unfortunately, I didn't succeed to reproduce your problem: i applied signals with different levels on P510 and P511 and I read back successfully P510 and P511 contents.

In order to investigate the problem, could you please:

- tell me if the behavior is observed randomly or systematically?

- tell me for what purpose you are using P510 and P511 pins?

- tell me what is the value of P5DIDIS register?

- give me an idea about your hardware?

- give me a piece of code reproducing the problem?

Waiting for feedback,

Best regards,

Najoua.

Hi najoua,

Thankyou very much for your reply. I have replaced the ST10F276 with a new one and it has cured my problem. I believe the old one was either faulty or damaged somehow. The worrying thing is we have some in the field with the same problem. P5DIDIS is 0x00FF, we are reading in a card address on P5.11 to P5.14.

The markings on the ST10's are different, maybe a different batch ?

I can't find an errata sheet for the ST10F276, is there one ?

Thanks & Regards

coebod.

Hello CoeBod,

Yes, there is an ST10F276 erratasheet.

To get it, please contact your ST local sales.

Najoua.
