ST10 IDCHIP Register

Hi,

1)

could you please explain me some details on how to interpret the IDCHIP register located at 0xF07C?

My actual development is a ST10F276Z5Q3 and its

IDCHIP is 1143h = ''F276 Rev.C PConf.E'' (-> Silicon Stepping CAA?)

Where the last 4 bits representing the revision ID (3 = Rev.C)

So I have to take attention to the ST10F276-CAA Errata Sheet and have not to run at 64MHz when using onchip FLASH.

In another thread, Najoua tells me about silicon version CDA, CEA & CEG which are not limited to 40MHz when using onchip FLASH.

Is the CEG silicon version also named as ''ST10F276E''?

I don't have a ST10F276E yet. What IDCHIP content did I get on ST10F276E?

Is there a table or formula to calculate silicon version from Rev-Nibble of IDCHIP

CAA = Rev.C = 3

CDA = Rev.? = ?

CEA = Rev.? = ?

CEG = Rev.? = ?

or are all the same Rev.C = 3 ?

2)

I have an Errata Sheet of the CAA silicon version. Could you provide me the Errata Sheet of the CEG (and maybe of CEA and CDA) silicon versions?

Thaks in advance

Joe Merten

Hello,

Please find below answers to your questions:

1)

All Cxx revisions indentifier = 3

2) The erratasheet can not be published on internet.

Please contact your ST local sales to get it.

Best regards,

Najoua.

Hi Najoua,

1)

How can I discover the full revision identifier for my ST10F2xx

1.1) by software

1.2) taking a look on the chip's housing surface

2)

What exactly is a ST10F276E ?

Joe.

Hi JoeM,

1/

There is no way to distinguish by software between sub-versions. The IDCHIP definition is such that it codes only the full mask set revision and not the metal fixes.

To know this you need to look at the marking.

2/ In ST, there are two groups responsible of the ST10: APG and MCD.

The difference in marking is due to the difference in the responsible group: Z5Q3 is MCD marking and -E is part of the product name for APG.

It's just for the family look: for the F272 they have 2 commercial products F272E and F272B with small differences in the peripherals and XRAM sizes. Even if the F276 has only 1 version, they decided to identify it with a ''E'' to be relevant in terms of peripheral set.

So for APG, all the ST10 have a letter B, E and then the mask revision.

I hope this answers your questions. :D

Best regards,

Najoua.

Hi Najoua.

> I hope this answers your questions. :D

Hmm, not really. :-?

1.1)

No way to discover by software? Ok, I have to accept.

1.2)

I still unable to discover the silicon version (CAA / CDA / CEA / CEG / ...) of my ST10F276Z5Q3's.

I have some ST10F276Z5Q3. For the first I had attached scan of the housing surface.

The housing surface print of the second one is little different against the scanned picture.

Scanned one:

2206P VG

MLT 22 615

My 2nd one:

22OK3 VG

MLT 22 650

Joe.

Hi JoeM,

The ST10F276Z5Q3 corresponds to the last ST10F276Cxx step, I mean CEG.

Najoua.

Najoua,

is the ''Z5Q3'' a key for the silicon version ''CEG'' ?

I still having trouble trying to run them at 64 MHz with using iFlash.

Hi Joe,

What do you mean by ''having trouble trying to run them at 64 MHz with using iFlash''. Could you please give more details?

Regards,

Najoua.
