Wow, the power consumption really dropped for low speed FLASH operation (1Mhz, internal clock, from about 6mA to about 1mA). That is great, is that data from new silicon? I was going to run from RAM to save power (previous data sheets indicated about 1mA running from RAM), now don't have too (strangely some of the running from RAM numbers are missing in the new data sheet)

I was the guy asking about the 36 pin packages, I see they are in the new datasheet, it doesn't seem like this package can use the low speed external osc, anyway thanks.

Hi obtronix,

Yes, it is a new silicon and you can fetch your code out of flash at 1MHz and comsuming only about 1mA ( Table15). In this configuration, When the peripherals are enabled : fPCLK1 = fHCLK/4, fPCLK2 = fHCLK/2 )

For the 36 pin packages, You can use the Internal Low Oscillator instead if your application need it really. We can not put everything as Bigger packages :-). If you need it absolutely you, I recommend you the 48 package.

Ok, thanks, I need an fairly accurate RTC, maybe I can use the external high speed clock to calibrate the internal low oscillator on the 36 pin device, or I'll just go with the 48 pin package.
