Posted on May 17, 2011 at 10:15We have experienced problems with the motorcontroller when production changed our ST7MC2 from rev A to rev B.
The problem results in no PWM output on any motor channel. (Correct low channel is active though, so the motorcontroller is not blocked by MCES, etc).
In the data-sheet there is a matrix describing different issues in silicon revisions A, B and C, where the most likely is the clearing of interrupts. However, our interrupt routines seem to follow the guidelines in the data-sheet.
Does anyone know more about how the issues in rev B occurs and can be solved? It would also be of interest to know if there is any revision after C where these issues are corrected and how production can be guaranteed to order a specific revision.
