Need suggestion for Stepper/servo motor controller with encoder !!!!!

Hi friends,

We are planning to shift from ''SILAB 8051 + Keil C51'' to ARM (cortex-M3),

for my new project 5-Axis CNC controller .

In that we have to generate pulses up to 2MHz & quadrature encoder for position sensing.

We have two options,

1. Luminary micro -> They have inbuilt dedicated motion control & quadrature encoder interface.

2. STM32 -> In STM32, which processor is suitable, Will I need some peripherals to implement above requirement ????????
