JTAG direct access to the Flash

Hi all,

I'm not so familiar with the STM32 Flash, and I have a question:

Is the STM32 Flash can be interfaced directly through JTAG not through CPU? I know this is tolerated with STR9 product (ARM9 core).

If it's possible as well with STM32, Please do you know a third party tool making this access to the embedded Flash?

Cheers.

Dear armmcu

STM32 Family includes two JTAG TAPs ( one for the Cortex-M3 core : Debugging, Controlling the registers, Access to the Memory etc... and another one for I/Os Boundary scan to check PCB assembly and routing at Final production) . However STR9 Has Three JTAG taps, where the latter is for Direct Access to Flash memory using ieee 1532 JTAG extension.

hope this clarify the picture 🙂
