Hi,

I have just added this reply in the other discussion about same topic (I'll remove it, we need to keep only one):

Hi hasan.iftekhar,

May be the driver isn't updated.

You need to install

http://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/embedded-software/development-tool-software/stsw-link009.html

 (ST-Link, ST-Link/V2, ST-Link/V2-1 USB driver signed for XP, Windows7, Windows8).

Hi,

You should ensure that you install the V2-1 version from this

http://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/embedded-software/development-tool-software/stsw-link007.html

You will need to describe what your ''environment'' is because you haven't described it and we can't see it.

What does the error say, completely?

What tool chain are you using?

What version of the drivers?

Can the drivers see the ST-LINK? ie in Device Manager

Can you access the device with the ST-LINK Utilities?

Have you selected the right debugger in your development tools?
