Hardfault error when writing to flash memory on Cortex-m3

done a bit more sleuthing. Talk about convoluted! I think I have managed to work out that the instruction is generating a ''precise data bus error'' Nowhere in all the manuals I have does it actually explain WHAT a ''precise'' error is. Does anyone know what it means and how to fix it?
