Unbonded GPIO pins

What happens with unbonded GPIO pins with chips packaged in a package where not all pins fit. With all families beside L0, default GPIO setup is input mode. Floating inputs in this configuration may result in unwanted current surge.

Should unbonded GPIO pins be treated as floting pins or does the chip itself care for these unbonded pins?

If you set all unbonded pins to be ANALOG inputs then the digital input circuit will be disabled and you won't suffer class-A leakage current.

One rival manufacturer I know about had all pins (that can be analog) power-up as analog, so pretty much the first problem a newbie user hits is that they can't make digital inputs work!
