Hi

Hi i have a problem with my STM32F207 ! after a while its getting so hot although its run the Program ! i measure the 3.3V current and see it is not normal and about 1.2 Amp !!!!!! I am sure that the VDD supply is always true during startup and never get higher than 3.3V.

so my question is what the reason for this !

Well no information about how it is wired.

Look at the schematic, look at the soldering, look at the circuit, look at the components.

You could have different supply rails connected together.

Outputs fighting with each other. (Inputs programmed as outputs)

Outputs shorted to supply rails.

A very recent poster on this forum had a similar problem, and discovered it was conductive flux (from soldering) still on the board.

Beyond that, feel free to post a schematic if you think it might be a circuit problem.

Hi again and thanks for quick reply

i am sure that the schematic and Cortex soldering is correct because this board works for about 2 or 3 hours without any problem !

but after i connect a connector to the board this problem starts !!

in that connector i have 5V and -12V and some HiZ pins but of curse -12 is not connected to the Cortex directly !

can 5V do this to STM32 ? which I/O protection it has ?

thanks again
