Posted on February 15, 2012 at 15:01 Investigating some problems with ST-Link not found errors [30200], I found with MS USB Device Viewer (

), that the STM8S-Discovery Device Descriptor seems to be not properly implemented.
I needed 2 devices hooked up to have one of them a working ST-Link.
One of the 0x409 entries in the Device Descriptor yields different readings for the 1st and 2nd connected device.
The 1st one seems to freeze after the first character of the 3rd 0x409 field of the Device Descriptor and yields an ST-Link error.
The 2nd one shows all Descriptors and works as an ST-Link.
OS: Windows XP SP3
What's the USB issue here???
