can't install drivers under windows 8, the ''unsigned driver '' error appears. workarounds with reboot to troubleshoot menu does not work because there is no such menu in full version (not dev. preview). is there any chance stm will spend  $200 to get appropriate signature for the driver or somebody knows another workaround or i can drop my stlink to the trashcan?

I was able to use Discovery boards under Retail Windows 8, the techniques demonstrably work. The costs to WHQL a driver are significantly higher, the $200 isn't even significant compared to the engineering time.

I confirm the workaround method with the Troubleshot menu works in Window 8 Retail for STlink embedded in DiscoveryF4 and DiscoveryF0. May be you should spend $30 to get a licensed copy of Windows?
