Has anyone tried using the ST-LINK CLI.exe in windows 64-bit? Is there a way to make win7 run it as 32-bit?

I'm using Win7 x64 with STM32 ST-LINK Utility.exe without any problems.

On Windows 64bit I can get the STM32 ST-LINK Utility.exe to work.

However as Phil said in first post I can't get the ST-LINK CLI.exe to work

Is it compatible with Windows 64 Bit?

Well he doesn't say it doesn't work, although that might be the inference. Others have suggested it is workable.

Useful information for ST might be what version of the tool/driver is in play, and what SP your Win 7 x64 is using. This is primarily a user forum, with some ST participation in recent weeks.

There are always going to be a subset of tools that won't work in Win7 x64, be they tied to old/obsolete drivers, or 16-bit DOS/Windows code, etc. It might be useful for you to discover Virtual PC (XP-Mode) or VirtualBox.

Removed drivers, downloaded and installed latest drivers, and now the ST-LINK CLI.exe works on my 64 Bit Windows 7, so all good again 🙂

Yeah, not really much meat there.

So a Windows 7 x64 machine, and a STM32F4-DISCO? What version of the driver?

This driver?

What does Device Manager have to say about the driver and the board?

Can the ST-LINK Utilities see it? What version of firmware? Can you upgrade it to V17?

 Windows 7 x64 machine

i've already installed the driver that you gaved me

STlink utilities can't see the board

the device manager can't install the driver of the board .... every time i connect it, i see a message of '' unknown device''

i'm really confused.

Which connector are you using?

Do you have any setting precluding the use of unsigned drivers, or USB devices? Does this work on any other machines? Is this a corporate machine, what does IT say?
