Hello. I'm trying to develop bldc motor driver with referecing MClib.

My question is why the current is sensed with three shunt resistor? 

The document,UM1052 descibed as the current sensing is sufficient sample only two currents.

Is it possible to use two shunt resistors, for Ia and Ib, with MClib?

It is, but you need to apply some modification to the code.

Due to switching noise, using only two resisitors results into a limitation of the maximum SVPWM modulation index (i.e. it's not possible to read with 100% duty cycle).This is often not acceptable.
